The Howler Monkey Hotel
The Howler Monkey Hotel is a little off-the-beaten path adventure hotel in the fishing village of Cabuya, a few minutes from Montezuma, Costa Rica. It is the ideal spot for a Costa Rica family vacation to get away from the busy crowds of Montezuma.
The Howler Monkey Hotel is next to the Cabo Blanco Absolute Nature Reserve, at the most southern tip of the stunning Nicoya Peninsula, in Costa Rica. Cabuya has 2 supermarkets, a bakery, a bar and a few restaurants within 10-minute walking distance from the hotel.
Not only is the Howler Monkey Hotel a jungle hotel, it has its own private beach which can be seen from each cabin. If you are looking for a great location for a Costa Rica family vacation, rent a cabin and come enjoy the local pace of life.
The cabins are wooden chalet-style bungalows with sleeping quarters on the upper level, a bathroom with a shower and a kitchen on the lower level, and an outdoor patio dining area. You can unwind by the pool or in your hammock, or you can stroll along the hibiscus-lined lanes, watch the fishermen bring in their catch, or beachcomb along the deserted beaches and explore Cabuya. And yes, you will hear the howler monkeys roar and possibly see them up in the canopy over the pool.
Jim O'Callaghan is the owner. He is fluent in English and Spanish and can help you arrange fishing trips and other activities in the area.
